SantaPark and Arctic SnowHotel in Rovaniemi: Which Tickets Do You Need?
Updated October 13, 2026 · 5 min read
SantaPark and the Arctic SnowHotel are separate attractions, and neither is part of the free Santa Claus Village. SantaPark is an indoor Christmas theme park in a cavern, 7 km from the centre. The SnowHotel is built from snow and ice every winter and needs its own ticket and its own transport. If you are only after the village, the Santa Claus Village guide covers it.

SantaPark
The ticket is valid for one day and the date is chosen at booking. It covers the meeting with Santa in his office, the Magic Train, the Elf School with a diploma and a trainee hat, the show on the main stage, the underground crossing of the Arctic Circle and the workshop crafts. Food and drinks are bought on site; the page mentions a lunch buffet in the restaurant and a bakery cafe. Photos you take yourself are unlimited, but the lists on the page run together, so check whether the official photo with Santa is an extra before you assume it is included.
Getting there: it is 7 km from the centre. The booking page names no bus line and no parking, so check the way there with the park or your accommodation beforehand. Tickets can be bought online until the day before. The page marks the park as wheelchair accessible, which is worth confirming with the operator before you go.
Arctic SnowHotel
According to the booking page the hotel opens on 15 December and inside it stays between 0 °C and −5 °C. The base ticket gives you an introduction to how it is rebuilt each year, a demonstration of the snow sauna and then free time in the rooms, the ice bar and the ice restaurant. It opens from 10 am to 8 pm and has parking, so with your own car you can take the entrance-only option.
The version with transfer is listed at 3.5 hours; its itinerary shows an hour on the coach each way and a self-guided visit of about two and a quarter hours, so plan for a little more than the listed time. Pickup points are Korkalonkatu 26 in the centre and Piparina in Santa Claus Village. If you miss the pickup, the booking is non-refundable.
When the dearer ones make sense
The transfer tour at €140 is a guided visit of two hours, with pickup at your hotel. It costs nearly four times the base ticket, so it is for people with no car and no wish to plan the bus.
The dinner at €153. Pickup is at 4:15 pm at Santa Claus Village and at 4:50 pm in the centre; you get 45 minutes in each direction, a 45-minute guided tour and an hour for dinner. There are children’s menus and a vegan main in both restaurants. The sauna package adds a snow sauna and a jacuzzi, but one reviewer says it feels rushed.
The day trip. From 6 December 2026 it includes tickets to Snowman World; before that, a gift from Santa in the village. It has only 16 reviews, so read them first.
What we would book
For most families: the SantaPark ticket on its own day, plus the SnowHotel with transfer option on another. Do not try to fit both into one afternoon.
More options are on the tickets and attractions page and the Santa Claus Village page.
